Tokyo Architecture Tattoo Artist Gets $4,000,000 to Make Herself a Buddha Statue

The tattoo artist who built a statue of Buddha to represent Japan’s emperor, as well as her own portrait of the Emperor, received an additional $4 million in a government subsidy to pay for her tattoo.

The artist, who asked to be identified by her real name, is a tattoo artist at Tokyo’s famed Tokyo Tattoo Center.

She had already spent $1.3 million in government funds to pay the artist for her art.

The government subsidy is for a $2,000 tattoo that can be done at the tattoo center and then sent to her in Tokyo for a commission of $2.7 million, according to the Associated Press.

The statue, known as a Daijyo, is part of the city’s ongoing efforts to improve its image as a cultural capital, a symbol of modern Japan.

The new money will be used for a new temple dedicated to the Buddha statue, a project that will begin in 2021, according the AP.

The Tokyo Tattoos and Museums Association, which owns the tattoo site, is responsible for the sculpture and also oversees the statue.

The sculpture will be on display in the National Museum of Japan in Tokyo until at least 2021, and the monument will open in 2021.
